We offer a range of lessons from total beginner young or old to the more established rider. I do lessons with my own equines or i can do private lessons on your own horse, at my yard or yours. I also have access to an indoor school if its for a private on your own horse. I am a BHS Instructor, Naturalhorsemanship Trainner and currently training towards my I.T and BD Level 2 ukcc. I promote safe, sensible and reliable methods/techniques in a fun, very productive and progressive manner. My intention is always to pass on what and how I have been taught, knowing it is absolutly correct, to ensure everyone gets it right for their future equine friend. The yard has been running now 15 years and I have dedicated my time to building a yard that is unique to our area and offers only the best.
In 2016 we updated the menage surface to an all weather, being rubber and sand so it is now rideable through-out the seasons.
For update information and to look at what goes on at Cobbles take a look at our Facebook Page.
The lessons are structured around the BHS guidelines and standards catering for the complete beginner to the more advanced rider. Lesson content is always interesting, fun and full of knowlegde, riders are expected to devolope there skills and techiniques both on the flat, over poles, over jumps and whilst out hacking.
We take our hacks over the cotwall end valley and round the local estate. Our horses are very experienced, well trained and safe mounts, and leaders are always available if needed. Hacking is encouraged for both confidence from the rider in new situations and to keep our equines happy.
We also see the importance of giving you the experience's has to prepare you for owning your own equine. The atmosphere is relaxed and hands on with tasks like grooming, tacking and untacking and rugging ect..
I am also proud that many who ride or have rode at Cobbles, are at such a high standard of both care and ridden knowledge that they have been able to take their BHS Stage exams and/or been very successful at both college and university studying Equine Degrees. I try to show them that there are many paths you can take within the horse world, not only riding in competition or being a riding instructor but the other aspects that you don’t see or that is spoken about at many other riding schools such as: dentistry, physiotherapy, chiropractor, blacksmith, feeding nutritionist, breeding including gene selection etc.. and many, many more!!!
